Ms. Palmer is an elementary/secondary school resource teacher in her 7th year of teaching. Her education degree is in Middle Years - Grade 6 - 9. She took a first full-time position in teaching was as a high school Lifeskills teacher with 21 students and 6 Assistants. When she first started researching what a "Lifeskills" program looked like - the main focus was on daily living skills, vocational skills and community activities. Somehow that did not sit right with Jan and from the start her classes included academics and fitness as well as life and vocational skills. Today she provides much needed services to a variety of school districts and families in need. This is a great site with a large volume of information and links that would be helpful to all. |
